Hello - And Welcome to our page created to keep you informed on the Court-Woodlawn neighborhood.

The Court-Woodlawn Task Force was created to be a voice in protecting, revitalizing and promoting our section in the City of Syracuse.

Court-Woodlawn is one of Syracuse's "Best Kept Secrets", located on the North Side of Syracuse, bordered by Grant Blvd on the South, Teall Ave. to the East, Hiawatha Blvd on the West, all stretching to the Northern City Line at Lyncourt. We share with pride our attractive, affordable housing, safer neighborhoods and good schools. We're close to the hospitals, main bus lines, and great shopping, with Wegmans, Tops, and Carousel just five minutes away from most of us. Same with houses of worship, Schiller Park and Pool, playgrounds, little leagues, and of course we are ten minutes from SU and downtown’s restaurants, theaters and entertainment.

Want to get away? We’re five minutes from the AMTRAK station, Thruway@81, and ten minutes from the airport.

OUR GROWTH STORY

We have helped inject over $200,000 in residential neighborhood building projects with a floating 1% loan Program from Home Headquarters.

A new streetscape and sidewalk program for Burdick Street was implemented.

Safer streets in co-operation with the Syracuse Police Department and local Neighborhood Watch groups help protect our area.

A community holiday tree lighting festival graced our business corridor of Butternut Circle.

Our Butternut Circle garden welcomes those to our business corridor, where we are embarking on revitalizing the area.

Our Gateway Garden welcoming all to Court-Woodlawn was created at the intersection of Court Street and Grant Boulevard.

Grant Middle School Oval garden revitalization welcomes students with pride.

Our community clean-up in conjunction with NEHDA, Gethsemane Church, Northside TNT, synagogues and the neighbors on the 1400 Block of Butternut St., shows their pride

Our “street walks” with city leaders, in cooperation with other North Side neighborhoods, has resulted in a co-operative effort to revitalize both our business and residential areas of the North Side.
