We did a nip/tuck of our gateway garden, planting more flowers than I care to count.  And yes, towards the end we got a little silly as we decided (or rather Steve came up with the fun idea) of pointing to each of us and letting us know what needed doing where.

On June 12, 2011 we joined Home HeadQuarters, NEHDA, Synagogues, Gethsemane Church, and NorthSide TNT in a
NeighborWorks Week Northside Clean up
of 1400 Butternut Street. We  painted, landscaped and picked up garbage. Volunteers were tired, sore - but most of all PROUD.

Check out the before and after pics below.

Along with Grant Middle School teachers and students, Court-Woodlawn had the extreme pleasure of working on a Grant Middle School landscaping project.  We re-did their oval garden.  Drive by if you get a chance.  Another good reason to make your home in Court-Woodlawn.

Court-Woodlawn welcomes Salon Bellezza (314.6301) to our neighborhood @ 204 Loma Ave.  I had the pleasure to spend some time with Owner Annette Knapp inside her newly remodeled shop. It is gorgeous.  Was a treat just to be inside.  They offer men's and women's haircuts.  Also perms, facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing - all in a very relaxing, enjoyable environment. Salon Bellezza's staff has 30 years of experience.  The salon is fully handicapped accessible.
Treat yourself and check it out.
